Putting God First

It occurs to me that often times we become so caught up in the day to day rat race that we can easily lose our focus and forget the most basic things that should be at the very core of our being. The founding fathers clearly understood the importance of God to the founding and survival of the United States of America and made no bones about the importance of God to individuals as well as government and society at large. God is and should be at the very center of all of our lives.  All to often though, this simply does not seem to be the case. Do I realize that there are those who disagree with me, have different beliefs, or no beliefs in God whatsoever? Of course I do but I don’t care about them and am not worried about whether or not my comments might offend them, if so, tough, get over it. If you don’t like what I say about God, then go find another blog to read and don’t waste your time here. I am unabashedly Christian, and unashamedly conservative, deal with it.  God is and will always remain at the center of my and my family’s life.

 

Atheists would have you believe that there is no God. Secular progressives and many leftists would have you believe that government, global warming, or some other nutty hypothothesis is God. The majority of us in the USA understand that there is a God and the importance of such a belief. I believe that we absolutely must have faith in God in order to survive from day to day. I don’t have to go into trying to explain how Christians are generally happier, better parents, and just better overall, we already know that. Without a strong foundational belief in God at the center or our lives it is much like trying to build a house of cards that can easily topple at the slightest breeze or vibration that comes along. 

 

There are no lack of troubles to plague our day to day lives. People face struggles, problems, and challenges in life every day and how well you are able to deal with such probems in my opinion depends to a very large degree on how strong your faith is. Now more than any other time, it is of utmost importance to find your faith and develop it to the fullest potential. We should pray for our friends, family, and country as well as the world overall. The main thing is to have an unshakable faith and the determination to keep it strong. Once you embrace your faith as the center of your being, problems quickly diminish. People of faith built this great nation and people of faith will continue to lead the world. God bless America.
