Christmas!

Christ Birth

Mat 1:23 says, “Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. ”

Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus which we believe happened sometime around December 25th. The birth of our Savior is one, if not the most revered events of all. Christians around the world will celebrate this event in many ways from displaying simple representations of the Manger scene to staging elaborate reenactments around the holy places in Bethlehem.

Christmas in America however is rife with dissent, animus, and vitriol. Political correctness each year rears its ugly head to inflict stress and chaos of anything to do with Christmas. Christmas carols can no longer be heard in our public schools nor any mention of Jesus. Christmas breaks have been redefined as Winter Holiday or other such ridiculous misrepresentations. Manger scenes are no longer allowed on state property and can only be found on private property. Even the phrase “Merry Christmas” must be stricken from the public venue and replaced with “Happy Holidays”, etc.

I have pondered this dilemma for a very long time and fail to understand how this could have happened in the first place and why it is allowed to continue now? Has the 1st Amendment vanished or been stricken from existence somehow magically without notice? Who exactly are these unseen, intolerant, iron fisted Over seers of all things that are acceptable now? Why do these bitter, intolerant, secular humanists hate Christmas so much to begin with? And lastly, who exactly gave them the power to Lord over us and to decide what speech, thoughts, religions, or rules are acceptable and allowable to begin with? I don’t recall electing an Emperor or Master of All things acceptable in public in the first place. I find no reference in the Constitution to banning anything and everything to do with Christmas from the public venue or what is loosely considered the separation of church and state. Taken at it’s worst interpretation, the idea of separation of church and state was never meant to be freedom FROM religion but rather freedom OF religion which is vastly different. And yet, these faceless, nameless, masters of public discourse appear to be completely intolerant of anything that can possibly even resemble reverence for the birth of Christ.

Political correctness is the “catch all” construct of the far left to dictate to and to define acceptable behavior in the name of protecting groups of people who might otherwise be insulted, marginalized, or excluded from something as determined by the far left purveyors of all things acceptable. Political correctness is like the hammer of Thor and is used to beat anyone who challenges political correctness into submission via unrelenting attacks and feigned hysteria and their attack dogs in the media. This process of personal destruction has been so refined by the far left that anyone and everyone who might disagree with them have been reduced to cowering and trembling in fear of being targeted by the left. Regardless of how this took place to begin with, the far left wields this power to silence any opposition like “Jack Booted” thugs without mercy.

Threats of law suits from the far left have resulted in many public venues simply complying with the political correct dictate no matter how ridiculous or outlandish. This results in the silent majority being forced to watch as everything that like minded Christians hold dear is redefined or simply vanishes from public venue altogether. This must stop at all costs and sooner than later lest Christmas is redefined or exterminated altogether.

Christmas is a time for joy and celebration for what the birth of Christ means to the world. It is a time of reflection with family and loved ones that Jesus was sent to earth and what His life would mean for everyone. And yet, if we allow it to happen, the Grinches of the left will snatch the joy of Christmas from our eyes and hearts. For me and my family, we will be attending service in our church and praying and rejoicing for what Christmas truly represents. The commercial side of Christmas is fun with Santa and all that his legend represents but nothing is even comes close to the joy of celebrating the birth of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

A good example: Radical School Principle
